Total Family Care Coalition does a remarkable job in the communities with helping families.Total Family Care Coalition outreach to help families with: creating voices and choices, reunification with their birth children, advocating for services tailored to meet their needs, being better parents and time away for themselves. Our youths get academic tutoring, summer enrichment camps, behavior coaching and mentoring.

2015 Youth Empowerment Conference

TFCC was recently awarded a wraparound family support contract with Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services assisting families navigating through the Justice System.
Continuation as a Statewide Family Network Grantee
TFCC continues to lead as a Statewide Family Network Grantee, empowering small family-run organizations working on the DC Youth Move Chapter. A Youth Development Lead Specialist will be coming on board very soon to lead in development.
emPower Radio Interview
In January Gail Avent was interviewed as a guest for emPower Hour on WPFW 89.3. The interview was conducted with Ms. DeShuna Spencer, CEO of Liu Karama Productions, LLC and Founder/Publisher of emPower magazine. The broadcast focused upon Ms. Avent's development of the TFCC organization and her involvement in promoting family and youth advocacy for systemic change throughout the District.
Certified Peer Specialist Training
Anticipation is growing as we look towards the upcoming Certified Peer Specialist Training provided by Department of Behavior Health. Classes will take place from June 2 to July 11, 2014. For more information click here. A new highlight of the training is an added optional track dealing specifically with family service.
